Many of the people reading (or, in most cases, ignoring or missing) this post are maniac fans of television shows. A huge preponderance of Buffy fans, West Wing fans, CSI fans and the like stalk the pages of Livejournal and occasionally write fiction about characters in these series getting it on at apparent random.
I have now formed such an addiction. The series in question is House. It has everything -- fascinating (and, as far as I can tell, accurate) neurology, snappy scripts, a brilliant soundtrack, direction that verges on the visionary, Hugh Laurie. I'm not planning to write a fiction in which Dr. Wilson and Dr. Cuddy consummate a subliminal passion or anything, but I am interested in boxed-set-style things. This is the good shit.
There will be fewer posts from now -- I need to concentrate on some projects I'm working on -- but there will also be music. Stay tuned.

the stories are great... the cast is great... the shooting and editing was a little shaky at the start but it got into it's grove... and the music is heart mangling. i love it.
when did it start in the UK? season two is just round the corner for us here in the states. i can't wait. i will actually make a point to watch TV for this show... and this show only.
well... not really. i also like some other things... like Stella and some things on Adult Swim.

forgive me; too tired to properly search these names right now: ROCK ON!!
HOUSE kind of grew on us here and at work. I knew Laurie from a number of things and knew he wasn't be properly utilized(Stuart Little's father?) until now.
I do confuse him with Nathan Lane's MOUSEHUNT costar
who is also in FUNNY BONES, a pretty disjointed and disturbing film!
I was glad they added Chi McBride to HOUSE, he is a great actor;
BOSTON PUBLIC, though sensational and inane at times is missed for
his repartee with the actor who played a psychiatrist to Hannibal.
The only other medical drama I watch (I never got with E.R. but loved most of the others from the past) is GREY'S ANATOMY; I was seriously hungering for a new episode but summers here are pretty much rerun land with reality tv being the only respite.

baby got BACK
house is a justified addiction. i managed to impress a round table full of british folk by telling them i'd never seen laurie in stuart little, only in 'fry and laurie,' and of course the superb 'jeeves and wooster' when i was a kid.we danced to baby got back last night. haha. it's lauren. i don't have time for one of 'these' blog things and yet...the narcissist in me succumbs.
